The first day we met with our Haitian lawyer. Our paper work is being legalized before it will be match with girls dossier and sent in to the four part process that will take around 18 months. She (our lawyer)was very complimentary about our dossier saying everything was in order and looked good for our case. That was wonderful to hear.
Our beach day was and adventure. We packed/stuffed 29 adults, children, babies, and stuff into an extended mini van. The drive was over an hour with no A/C. The U.N. had recently reopened the route we took in an effort to control the kidnappings and murders. They felt we would be safe because there were so many of us. The girls first time to the beach was exciting. We built sandcastles, played in the waves, and picked up shells. It was beautiful.
The rest of our free time was spent souvenirs shopping, playing in the pool, and playing games at the hotel.
Grandma and Grandpa Peters flew in on Friday. They were so excited to meet them. We celebrated their birthdays and Valentines day at the Orphanage. Videline was 7 and Barbara was 6.
We were discussing whether they would like new names when they come to America. Barbara decided she would like to be called Ajia. I thought okay this is going good I like it. Videline was insistent on Dora. As in Dora the Explorer a cartoon. Not sure how we are going to talk her out of this one any ideas?
The little boy you will see first in the pictures is Marklein. He was in the states with Children's Medical Missions and we transported him back to his family. He was born without use of his legs and walks with his hands. He was amazing to watch. I must say he had no problems getting around. Up and down steps head first and swing himself up on furniture. He was very special, such an inspiration. We are truly blessed to have met him. It was great to see him reunited with his family.
After Haiti we made a stop in Flordia for some R&R. Our friends Lynn and Renee' met us there. They are recently empty nesters and we are about to fill our nest. It was a good time to do it and we had so much fun. Thanks for driving all the way to the Keys, We love you guys.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for coming to spend time with us! We love You!
This was her idea we are not forcing child labor. I think she thought I wasn't doing it right.
Playing Soccer with the Kids after Church!
By the way the loud music is not ours:) There was a boat anchored off shore that was getting a little rowdy!

those pictures are so sweet...
Isn't it wonderful to have pics to look at while the wait continues?! Though it would be nice if they were here in person.... Still praying that the wait goes swiftly....
